How to set up shop with Signshops!

As you may have noticed, we are no longer using tradecraft... but have no fear the entrepreneur in you will get his fill! And it has been made easier too!

With the new Signshops plugin, combined with LWC you can once again sell stuff to other players! And that's not all, you can also set up donation signs and buy from other players!

Does it sound good? Well read on because the setup for your shop is a lot easier then it was before!

You'll need the following items to set up shop:

• 1 chest
• 1 sign
• 1 piece of redstone dust
• Sellable goods

We have set up a little market place where you can set up shop easily, it is divided into different section and we would apreciate it if you would stick to them you can build shops outside of the market but they will be harder to find by other people.


Now that you found a suitable location, lets look at making the shop..


The tag goes on the first line, it can be [Buy], [Sell], or [Donate]
The second and third line hold your description, this can be anything!
The fourth line will hold the price you're asking.
You may have noticed I didn't add an amount of items or even an item id... and that brings us to stocking your shop!


I set the price at 4 but didn't specify an amount in the last step, but that's why we have this step! Put the amount you want to sell for the price in the chest. (in this case I want to sell 1 sappling for 4 gold so I place one sapling in there.)

Now with redstone in hand, punch the sign once!


Then, punch the chest once with the redstone in hand!


Now you can just put all your items in the chest to stock it
A private sign is NOT needed as it is protected with LWC!

Shop signs can have three colours, Black, Blue and Red.

• Black shops aren't shops, they haven't been set up right or just not yet.
  
• Blue shops are working, stocked shops
  
• Red shops are working, but there are no items left to be bought... to restock, the owner just has to put his stuf in the chest and punch it.

Good stuff Tom, one question though. Whats the deposit and withdraw signs at spawn for?

I made a "mix" between item currency and virtual currency. basicly it's still gold ingots and you just have to put it on your account to be able to use it at the shops

Ah okay, interesting, it saves me carrying around gold and when I die is kept in the account.

You have chosen some really interesting and useful plugins for the new map/bukkit.

Thanks eskallon it would've been hard to implement some of this stuff on a not new map
